The 1st Mate Marine Safety and Security System puts confidence in the palm of your hand with overboard alerts, distress messaging and theft-deterrent functionality. Utilizing wireless communication between wearable fobs, an engine hub and your mobile device, the 1st Mate system combines boat safety with convenience while providing a safe alternative to the traditional mechanical emergency stop switch and lanyard.
1st Mate utilizes wearable fobs for the boat captain and up to seven passengers. These wearables connect to a mobile device and ensure that if one of the passengers falls overboard, the engine(s) will stop, an alarm will sound, the captain will be alerted and given the passenger’s GPS location via the 1st Mate mobile app, thanks to direct integration with the vessel’s propulsion system. For the captain, 1st Mate replaces the traditional mechanical emergency stop switch and lanyard with a convenient wireless fob that can be worn at all times.
